Our social-skills support gives your child opportunities to use communication during shared activities, rather than treating social learning as worksheet work alone. At Lumora Education, turn-taking, sharing and conversation practice are woven into early intervention, our Support Class and especially weekend group activities.

You may be looking for support because your child wants to join an activity but needs help taking a turn, expressing a need or navigating the interaction. Our aim is to support communication, confidence and meaningful friendships. We use personalised learning plans and positive reinforcement, recognising that a child’s participation and pace need individual attention.

Personalised goals meet cooking, creative play and group interaction

We combine individual learning support with practical opportunities to communicate and cooperate, using your child’s needs to guide programme selection. Our approach brings together an initial consultation, personalised learning, hands-on participation and regular progress updates.

1. Begin with a consultation and assessment. Every family starts with an initial session so you, your child and our teachers can get to know one another. This gives us a starting point for recommending an appropriate programme before enrolment.
2. Identify the communication and social priorities. Our learning plans are personalised. Relevant areas include expressing thoughts and needs, listening, conversation, turn-taking and emotional regulation; not every child needs the same emphasis.
3. Practise within meaningful activities. Basic cooking, arts and crafts, science and technology projects, sensory play and group activities feature in our Saturday programme. These provide settings for communication and cooperation alongside practical learning.
4. Encourage participation at an individual pace. We use positive reinforcement and a structured learning environment. The purpose is to help your child participate with support, not to promise a fixed social outcome after a set number of sessions.
5. Keep you informed. We provide weekly progress updates. Where Laith Kiddo is used, AI-supported activity tracking helps us understand strengths and areas needing support; app activity is not, by itself, proof of progress in face-to-face friendships.

For example, a shared cooking task can provide an opportunity to request an item or wait for a turn. This illustrates how an everyday activity can serve a social goal; it is not a claim that every child follows the same task or reaches the same milestone.

Social-learning fees depend on the programme your child joins

There is no single standalone social-skills fee across our programmes: the cost depends on the support selected for your child. For families considering group-based practice, our published Saturday options are RM250 or RM500 per month; our Lumora Support Class is RM189 per month, but it has a different learning emphasis and should not be treated as an equivalent group package.

The Support Class page also lists an assessment fee of RM200, a one-time registration fee of RM100 and a material fee of RM150 per semester. These are separate from its monthly fee; do not assume they apply identically to other programmes.

Ask us to confirm the recommended programme, session availability, applicable additional charges and total starting cost before enrolling. A longer session is not automatically the better fit—your child’s needs and readiness should guide the decision.

Choose guided peer practice for interaction goals—not tuition alone

For a child whose priority is communicating and participating with peers, our hands-on group activities offer a different focus from homework support alone. At Lumora Education, we integrate social learning across programmes, so the useful comparison is the opportunity your child needs—not which programme sounds more intensive.

Individual guidance and group practice can serve different needs. We do not assume every child is ready for the same group setting, and our initial consultation is the place to discuss participation, communication and support requirements honestly.

At Lumora Education, we support children aged 3–12 with autism, ADHD and learning difficulties at our Bukit Gambir centre in Penang. We combine personalised learning, hands-on experiences and communication support, with weekly updates that keep you involved in your child’s learning.
