PPKI After School Support Penang

At Lumora Education, we provide PPKI after school support in Penang for school-going children aged 6–12, combining small-group homework guidance, reading, writing and maths practice with weekly parent updates. Our published sessions run from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm, with monthly packages of RM480 for two days a week, RM720 for three days, or RM1,200 for Monday–Friday attendance.

Your afternoon support options at a glance
  • Our PPKI programme complements school learning for children aged 6–12; it does not replace school attendance.
  • Small-group academic support covers homework, literacy, numeracy and learning habits, with attention to independent task completion.
  • Two-day, three-day and weekday packages let you discuss a manageable starting schedule rather than automatically choosing full-week attendance.
  • Weekly updates help you follow your child’s learning; monthly reports and developmental notes can also be shared with their school teacher.

Session times, fees and academic scope are listed in our PPKI programme details; our parent information explains assessment and reporting.

Homework completion is only one part of after-school support

We support the skills behind schoolwork, not just the finished homework page. Our PPKI programme includes guided practice, learning habit development and classroom confidence alongside reading, writing and numeracy.

If your child needs help understanding a task, getting started or working through it, tell us which part is difficult. That gives the conversation a clearer starting point than simply asking for more worksheets. You can also share what your child already manages comfortably, so their strengths remain part of the discussion.

Our aim is to reinforce classroom learning at a manageable pace while encouraging greater independence. Homework guidance is included, but completing every assignment is not a promised outcome of every afternoon.

An initial assessment connects schoolwork, small-group practice and parent updates

We begin with an initial consultation and assessment before recommending a programme, then provide structured learning support and regular progress information. This gives you a chance to discuss your child’s needs before committing to a package.

  1. Discuss your child’s starting point. Every family begins with a consultation and assessment session so your child and our teachers can get to know each other. Bring your priorities: homework difficulties, reading confidence, writing practice or basic maths.
  2. Choose an appropriate attendance pattern. Our published options include two days, three days or Monday–Friday. We allow families to begin with fewer sessions and increase frequency as their child settles in or learning goals change.
  3. Practise academic skills with guidance. Your child receives homework assistance and reading, writing and maths support in a small group. Our programme also addresses participation, learning habits and independent task completion.
  4. Keep learning visible at home. We provide weekly progress updates, with monthly reports and developmental notes available to share with your child’s school teacher. Use these to discuss what your child is practising and where support is still needed.

Our wider personalised-learning approach also uses Laith Kiddo to review how children interact with digital activities. These observations help us understand strengths and areas needing support; they are not a guarantee of a particular learning outcome. Ask how app-based learning would fit your child’s proposed support plan.

PPKI monthly fees follow the number of attendance days

Our published PPKI fees range from RM480 to RM1,200 per month for children attending two days a week through to Monday–Friday. All three packages list the same 2.00 pm–5.00 pm session window, so your main package decision is the weekly attendance pattern.

Start the discussion with your child’s school dismissal time, your travel arrangements and the days you can attend consistently. Choosing the largest package is not a requirement: our initial assessment helps us discuss an appropriate starting point with you.

Find a workable afternoon schedule for your child

Enquire with your child’s age, school finishing time and main learning needs. We will discuss the programme and suitable schedule, and arrange the initial consultation and assessment before enrolment.

Choose structured PPKI guidance when homework help alone is not enough

Our programme is an option for families seeking both academic assistance and support with learning habits after school. With small-group guidance, independent-task practice and regular parent updates, we offer a broader scope than help focused only on finishing assignments.

This is a comparison of support needs, not a claim that every tutor or centre works the same way. If you only want help with a particular subject or occasional homework, a narrower arrangement may suit your family better.

Our listed academic support areas give you a concrete checklist for that decision. We do not promise a fixed pace of improvement, and educational support should not be treated as a substitute for any clinical care your child needs.

At Lumora, we connect classroom practice with everyday participation

At Lumora Education, we help children with autism, ADHD and learning difficulties build academic skills alongside communication, confidence and independence. Our centre is in Bukit Gambir, Penang, and our after-school offer gives school-going children a structured place to practise beyond their regular lessons.

Our approach combines personalised support, hands-on experiences and parent involvement. For this programme, that means keeping schoolwork, learning habits and your child’s individual needs in the same conversation—not presenting technology or extra worksheets as the whole answer.

Our centre’s story began with Teacher Wan’s direct work with neurodivergent children in 2023. That individual-support background informs our emphasis on each child’s strengths, pace and learning needs.

See the learning opportunities behind our focus on participation

Our published activity records show children taking part in communication and hands-on learning opportunities. These are examples of our wider centre approach, not evidence of guaranteed progress or confirmation that each activity is included in every PPKI session.

For your own decision, the most useful checks are personal: an assessment before enrolment, a clear attendance package and progress information you can discuss with us. Those give you more to work with than photographs alone.

Practical questions before choosing your PPKI package

Yes. Package C provides two days per week at RM480 per month, within the published 2.00 pm–5.00 pm session window. Our programmes allow families to start with fewer sessions and increase frequency later; discuss the available days with us before enrolling.

Yes. Alongside weekly parent updates, we provide monthly progress reports and developmental notes that you can share with your child’s school teacher. This gives you information to support conversations about classroom expectations and after-school practice.

Start with your child’s age, current schooling, school finishing time and the tasks you want help with. You may also bring recent schoolwork or teacher feedback to make the discussion more specific. Every family begins with an initial consultation and assessment so we can recommend a suitable programme before you commit.

Give your child structured support beyond the school day

Tell us where schoolwork becomes difficult and which afternoons fit your family. Enquire to discuss our PPKI packages and arrange an initial consultation and assessment, so you receive a programme recommendation before deciding on enrolment.
